Ana Sofia Paiva (actriz) e Ricardo Santos Rocha (músico) formaram em 2007 o projecto de Narração Oral Cegarrega . Criamos sessões de contos para público familiar com um forte componente musical, com base em recolhas de contos e cantares da tradição oral portuguesa. As nossas cegarregas (dos Bichos e da Velha, outras a caminho) são espectáculos baseados na oralidade que abordam narrativas e temáticas do imaginário tradicional português. O repertório das cegarregas inclui, para além de contos de tradição oral portuguesa, cantigas, orações, lengalengas, trava-línguas e canções de embalar. Paralelamente à narração, desenvolvemos um trabalho de pesquisa e recolha de contos tradicionais.

Ana Sofia Paiva (actress) and Ricardo Santos Rocha (musician) founded the storytelling project Cegarrega in 2007 . They create sessions for family audiences with a strong musical component, based on stories and songs collected from the portuguese oral tradition. So far they have created A Cegarrega dos Bichos (animals) and Cegarrega da Velha (old woman) and more are being put together at the moment. They are shows based on oral tradition and follow themes which are recurrent in Portuguese traditional culture. The Cegarrega repertoire includes Portuguese traditional stories, songs, rhymes, lullabies, prayers, tongue twisters and curses. Apart from their work telling stories they keep very busy collecting and researching traditional and popular tales.
