Nasceu em Tentúgal em 1954. Mestre de saberes e de sabores da sua terra, não só é um fiel depositário do património daquele vale onde corre o Mondego como um agente na sua preservação e actualização. Dos cantares aos trajes, das orações aos licores, dos contos às ervas medicinais, das procissões aos manjares tradicionais, tudo parece habitar as palavras e os gestos deste “contador de histórias” na acepção mais enraizada e abrangente do termo. O seu repertório inclui temas da tradição oral ouvidos e vividos em primeira-mão.
